A vivid Santo Domingo stone and shell inlay cross. Squares of turquoise, onyx, shell, mother of pearl, and lapis lazuli are set in a graphic, colorful checkerboard pattern, with a center of sterling silver. The back of the cross is a very dark green, nearly black stone. The cross hangs on a modern sterling silver box chain. Circa 1980.
