Of the Victorian era, this is an antique 14k yellow gold watch chain. On one end of the rope style chain is an old style spring clasp and at the other end is a swivel style clasp. There is also one T-bar attached with gold links. The swivel clasp is marked 14k and the chain tests for 14k gold (not plated or filled).  This watch chain is in nice vintage condition.

The Albert chain T-bar would traditionally go through a buttonhole to secure the pocket watch.  The Albert pocket watch chain was named after England's Prince Albert (1819-1861) who was married to Queen Victoria. 

You could use this as a watch chain or to modernize it, it could be worn attached to a second chain as a necklace, used as an anklet or use your imagination.  It is a lovely Victorian piece that you will enjoy!
